Beware if you have a lot of albums - I have around 300 albums on my ipod. My problem is that during search, I can't get to the albums in the middle of the alphabet quickly without turning the dial for several minutes to get there - Alpine tell me there are no plans to improve the firmware. Great product! - I had one of the old cables (which didn't charge) and had to keep using my car charger to charge my Nano, but now I can play without interruption...neat design as well....
Alpine didn't reach great heights - I bought this product a year ago and it has been trouble on and off right from would start. At first I noticed that it wouldn't go back a track on CD's. I then kept on getting other problems when playing CD's.It would stop part way through a and then I would get an error message.I tried to eject the CD and it wouldn't do so. Fab piece of kit - I bought this Alpine unit as soon as it came out and have now used it extensively. It has been 100% reliable, the sound quality is superb, there's of power and it's not too fiddly to use. The reason I bought it was because of the iPod connectivity, which was the best available at the time, and still is.
