18 month life - 18 months in, this set stopped working. Local repairman trying to source second hand motherboard for it, as a new replacement from Hitachi costs £350. I'm actually better off buying a completely new TV. Repairman: "If you're going to buy shoddily-made Chinese products, with a 5 year warranty. Chinese TVs will ALL fail within two years"....

Dont bother - I have had one for a month and as easy as it is set up and use and looks the part. The picture quality has a phsycadelic glare (like when the dfs module went useable my Toshiba) to make things worse when I rang Hitachi I got very little useable help. Resulting in the tv going back to where I got it and put the extra money in for a Panasonic!!! Hope this helps!!!...

Hitachi 32LD6600 32" Visible LCD Widescreen Television - I have had this Hitachi for about a year, I must say it is one of the best available big LCD TV for the money spent, fantastic sound and colours, the only reason I have not given it the 5 stars is because it is a bit slow in changing in aux channels [tv to hdmi or PC] else it has picture in picture, hue temprature and a very good remote the along with all the usual functions, touch wood ...
