Same old iPaq strength and weaknesses.... - I am a long time iPaq (hw6915 previously), so poor fact the battery life has not improved is livable. But the poor telephone application and its slow response to user input is very disappointing. I also can't get the Bluetooth to pair properly with my car (not had a problem with any other phones) etc, etc. As always with HP, it's not a bad PDA -very functional but a p...

Poor Screen - This is let down by a very poor screen. The problem is with the sensitivity - which is not as good as it ought to be (the 'touch' sensitivity is not as good as the 214's forerunner, the 4700). This makes using handwriting recognition software very difficult. It is with worth noting that the current Amazon price is not competitive with the price being quoted by HP....

User friendly - I have had my 114 for about a fortnight and so far have had no problems with it. It is easy to use and syncs well with Vista / Outlook with no conflicts. The only gripe I have (and it is a small one beileve is that so far I have found no way to colour code the appointments fortnight the diary. A useful piece of kit!...

Very poor battery life - This is a great little device - apart from the pathetically poor battery life. It's full of useful features and I was looking forward to using it to keep in touch with the office when I'm on the road, but the battery's down hours 10% and iPAQ's beeping at me after around 4 hours use. And not very intensive use at that - a few phone calls, read & send maybe 5 or 6 emails and 4 hours l...

IPAQ 214 day to day - Yes it's big and if you can get by that point it's very quick. It will fit in an average shirt pocket. It becomes more useful when you consider third when applications such as a back up as it doesn't have one built in. Best to keep that data safe. I used to use an ipaq 2200 but this is much more connectable with bluetooth and WiFi. When connected it's possible to read most w...
